Terms for professionals
The agreement between Doenzo and the professionals who register. In plain words.
In short
- Doenzo is an online intermediary platform. We put customers and professionals in touch.
- You make the agreement for the job with the customer. Doenzo is not a party to it.
- The customer pays you directly.
- Registration is free. There is no subscription and no commission on the job amount.
- You only pay if the customer shares their contact details with you (except with Gold status, see Doenzo Gold). The amount depends on the estimated value of the job. You always see it before you send.
- Doenzo is new. We are starting in Zuid-Holland (South Holland). Customers can place requests from the day Doenzo opens for customers.
What does Doenzo do?
Doenzo is an online intermediary platform for small jobs. Customers place a request. Professionals send an offer. The customer shares their contact details with the professionals they want to talk to.
Doenzo does not carry out jobs itself. We are not a party to the agreement for the job. You make that agreement directly with the customer. You are responsible for your work and for your arrangements with the customer.
You are not employed by Doenzo. You work as an independent business. You decide whether to send an offer, what price to ask and how to do the work.
Doenzo is operated by Doenzo, KvK 42162983, Theo Mann-Bouwmeesterlaan 64, 2597 HJ ’s-Gravenhage.
Honest about the start
Doenzo is a new platform. Customers can place requests for jobs from the day Doenzo opens for customers in Zuid-Holland. If you register earlier, you will not receive jobs through Doenzo until that day. Cleaning is not included yet.
We announce the date from which customers can place requests by e-mail to registered professionals.
Who can register?
You can register if you:
- have an active registration in the Dutch Business Register (KvK). We check your KvK number when you register, using the KvK API. We then receive your trade name and place of business;
- run your own business and work independently;
- work with your own tools;
- comply with the law, including tax rules (such as VAT and income tax) and any permits or certificates your trade requires;
- give correct details and update them when something changes.
We are currently looking for professionals for jobs: repairs, assembly, hanging and mounting, plumbing, electrical work, painting, moving, ventilation and air conditioning cleaning, and setting up portable air conditioners (no refrigerant work). Cleaning is not included yet.
Business liability insurance is recommended. It is not required.
Registration is free. After you register, we will contact you for a short introduction. Doenzo then decides whether to accept you. If we decline your registration, we will tell you why.
How do offers work?
- A customer places a request for a job. Doenzo reviews the request before professionals can respond to it.
- You see requests that match the trades and regions you have chosen. You see what you need to make an offer, such as the type of job and the town. You do not see the customer's name or contact details at that stage.
- Want to do the job? Then send an offer with an all-in price. That is the total amount the customer pays you, including VAT. You set that price.
- Doenzo shows the offers to the customer. Each request can receive at most 5 offers. Once 5 offers are in, nobody can send another one.
- The customer can share their contact details with one or more professionals. If the customer shares their details with you, you pay the contact fee and you both see each other's name, phone number and email address. The customer gives you their address themselves. You make the arrangements together, you do the job and the customer pays you directly.
- The customer can indicate which professional does the job. The request then closes. A request also closes 30 days after the customer placed it. After that, nobody can send an offer or receive details.
Your all-in price is a fixed price for the work as the customer described it in the request. Does the job turn out different or bigger? Then discuss it with the customer before you do extra work, and name the new price. You may only ask for an extra amount if the customer agreed to it in advance. If you do not stick to this, Doenzo can take measures (see Stopping, suspension and termination).
What does it cost?
- Registration: free.
- Subscription: none.
- Commission on the job amount: none.
- Sending an offer: free.
- If the customer shares their contact details with you, you pay a contact fee once. This also applies if you do not get the job in the end. How much depends on the estimated value of the job. Doenzo sets that value when we review the request. It is a fixed amount per group of jobs, not a percentage of your price. You always see the amount before you send the offer.
- With Gold status (see Doenzo Gold): no contact fees.
Without Gold status, you pay in advance, from a balance in your account. When you send an offer, we set the contact fee aside on your balance. If the customer shares their details with you, it is taken from your balance. If the request closes without the customer sharing their details with you, the amount is released again. If your available balance is too low, you cannot send an offer. If you have credit (see refunds), we use that first.
You top up your balance in your account. You pay via Stripe, with iDEAL. The full amount goes on your balance. For every payment you automatically receive an invoice with 21% VAT. Topping up is possible from the day Doenzo opens for customers.
There is a launch offer for the first approved professionals: see the Pioneer credit conditions.
Refund policy
After paying a contact fee, you can ask for a refund in your account. Doenzo decides whether you get one. We look, for example, at these situations:
- the customer does not respond to you, although you tried in different ways;
- the customer withdraws the request before you have been in contact;
- the request turns out to be invalid, for example because it is fake, a duplicate or cannot be carried out.
A refund comes back as credit on your balance, not as money. You can use credit only for new contact fees. It is valid for 1 year and is lost when your account ends. Credit is never paid out. If credit expires while it is still set aside for an open offer, that part stays until the offer is settled: if the customer shares their details with you, it pays the contact fee; if not, it expires after all.
How does the customer see the offers?
Doenzo shows the offers for a request to the customer together. The customer compares them and decides who to share their details with.
At the moment the offers are listed by all-in price, lowest first. If two offers have the same price, the one that came in first is listed first.
Nobody can pay for a higher position. Doenzo does not sell positions, and the contact fee has no influence on the order.
Which requests you see depends on the trades and regions you choose.
Doenzo does not carry out jobs itself and offers no services of its own alongside those of professionals. The same rules apply to all professionals, with one exception: Gold status, below.
Doenzo Gold
Doenzo may, at its own discretion, give some professionals Gold status. We give Gold status to professionals we invite to test Doenzo with us in the early phase (pilot). You cannot apply for Gold status or buy it.
- With Gold status you pay no contact fees. Nothing is taken from your balance, not even when the customer shares their details with you.
- Your offers carry the label "Pionier" (Pioneer) for the customer. The label means you are one of the first professionals on Doenzo. It says nothing about the quality of your work. The label comes with Gold status, not with the Pioneer credit. If your Gold status ends, the label goes too.
- The order in which the customer sees the offers does not change. An offer with Gold status is not placed higher.
- Doenzo can end Gold status at any time. After that, the normal contact fees apply again.
What do we expect from you?
- Only send offers for jobs you really want to do and can do.
- Keep your appointments with customers. If you cannot, tell the customer in good time.
- Use customers' details only for their job. Do not send customers advertising and do not pass their details on to others.
- Do not pass the contact fee on to the customer as a separate charge, and do not say the customer has to pay it. You set your own price.
- Do not try to avoid the contact fee. Do not ask for or share contact details in your offer, your message or your profile before the customer shares their details with you.
- Be honest and fair with customers and with Doenzo.
- Tell us if your KvK registration ends or your details change.
You may also find work through other platforms or in other ways. You may ask different prices there.
Your data and privacy
We keep your registration details, your offers and an overview of your balance and credit. If a customer shares their contact details with you, that customer also sees your phone number and email address. With your offer, customers see your (trade) name, your town, whether Doenzo has approved you, your number of completed jobs and, if you have Gold status, the label "Pionier". You can always ask us which data we hold about you.
What you provide yourself, such as the text of your offers and your trade name, remains yours. You only allow Doenzo to show it to customers on the platform while your account exists and as long as needed to complete an open request.
Doenzo does not sell your data. We only share it with customers (as described above), with KvK to check your registration, and with service providers that help us run the platform. The privacy notice lists them.
After your account ends, you can ask us for an overview of your offers and your balance.
When you register, we record which version of these terms you agreed to.
How we handle personal data is explained in the privacy notice.
Stopping, suspension and termination
You can stop at any time. Let us know by e-mail at info@doenzo.net. We will then close your account.
If your account ends, we pay back the balance you topped up yourself and have not used within 30 days, to the account you paid with. You receive a credit note for it. This also applies if Doenzo ends your account.
Credit (see the refund policy) and Pioneer credit are not paid out. They are lost when your account ends.
Doenzo can restrict, temporarily suspend or end your account if there is a good reason. For example if:
- your KvK registration is no longer active;
- you gave incorrect details;
- you do not comply with these terms or with the law;
- there is fraud or misuse of the platform;
- we repeatedly receive serious complaints about you from customers.
We always tell you why by e-mail, at the latest when the measure takes effect. If we end your account, you will hear this at least 30 days in advance.
We can end your account immediately, without those 30 days, if the law requires us to end it, if there is an urgent reason that under the law justifies immediate termination (for example fraud or danger to customers), or if you repeatedly breach these terms. We will tell you why in that case too.
Do you disagree with a measure? Then file a complaint (see below). We will then look at your situation again.
After your account ends, we keep your data no longer than necessary. The privacy notice explains how long.
Changes to these terms
If we want to change these terms, we will e-mail you at least 15 days before the change takes effect. If you do not agree with the change, you can close your account before it takes effect.
A change never applies retroactively. We only use a shorter period if the law requires it, or if it is needed to stop fraud or immediate danger.
Complaints
Do you have a complaint about Doenzo? For example about a suspension, the contact fee or how we treat you? Let us know by e-mail at info@doenzo.net. Tell us what happened and what you expect from us. We look at every complaint carefully and tell you what we will do about it.
Is it about the job itself, such as the work or the payment? Discuss that with the customer. Doenzo is not a party to that agreement.
Liability
- Doenzo is not a party to the job. We are not liable for the work, for payment by the customer or for damage that occurs during the job. You settle that with the customer.
- We do our best to keep Doenzo working well. Still, the platform may sometimes be unavailable or contain an error. We are not liable for missed jobs or lost income.
- If we are liable after all, our liability is limited to the contact fees you paid to Doenzo in the 12 months before, up to a maximum of €500.
- These limits do not apply in case of intent or wilful recklessness by Doenzo.
- You are liable for your own work and for damage caused by not complying with these terms.
Which law applies?
Dutch law applies to these terms and to your use of Doenzo. If we cannot resolve a dispute together, it can be brought before the competent court in the Netherlands.
These terms are also available in Dutch. If the two versions differ, the Dutch version applies.
Pioneer credit conditions
For the first professionals, Doenzo starts with a launch offer: the Pioneer credit ("Pionier-tegoed"). These conditions apply. The Pioneer credit is separate from Gold status. It does not give you Gold status or the "Pionier" label on your offers (see Doenzo Gold).
- The first 250 professionals approved by Doenzo receive €25 credit. This counts approvals, not registrations.
- You can only use the credit for contact fees of jobs you get through Doenzo.
- You have an active KvK registration.
- You work in Zuid-Holland.
- The offer applies to jobs such as repairs, assembly, hanging and mounting, plumbing, electrical work, painting, moving, ventilation and air conditioning cleaning, and setting up portable air conditioners. Cleaning is not included.
- There is one credit per KvK number.
- Doenzo has approved your registration after a short introduction (intake).
- The credit is not money. It cannot be paid out, transferred to someone else or refunded.
- The credit is valid for 90 days from the day customers in Zuid-Holland can place requests. Doenzo announces that date by e-mail to registered professionals. Credit you do not use within those 90 days expires.
- The offer runs until 250 professionals have been approved, or until 31 December 2026 inclusive, whichever comes first.
- In case of misuse, Doenzo can refuse or withdraw the credit. For example in case of incorrect details or several registrations for the same business. If Doenzo withdraws the credit, that place becomes available to another professional. The same KvK number does not get the credit again. If your balance then no longer covers the contact fees set aside for your open offers, we withdraw your newest offers until it does. You pay nothing for a withdrawn offer.
